Cherrye J. Davis - An actor, poet, and native of the Bronx, NY, Cherrye received her B.F.A. in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Recent productions: Hope Speaks, The Love Letter You've Been Meaning to Write New York, Bintou, The Forgetting of Things, For Flow, Romeo and Juliet, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide..., Polaroid Stories, Sideshow, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Peter Pan. Recent films; Kitty Bainbridge is Dead, For Flow. She is the writer, director, designer, and actor of two original works, Sold! and Dreams in Scar Space. In 2010, Cherrye directed The Movement Theater Company's Ladder Series workshop production of "Excuse Me Ladies and Gentlemen...", and is excited to be a playwright in the series this year. Cherrye has worshipped at the temple of Hip Hop since birth, and is dedicated to the continuing exploration and development of Hip Hop, Dance, and World Theater
